Wada's Place - Batangas City

So here it is, Wada's Pizzeria, a new resto in Zenaida Arcade at M.H. Del Pilar Street. The first branch we saw of this was in Lipa City and when we saw it here, we really waited for it to open. So this day come..

We were there lunch time, so not much of people are dining. The place is not yet finished, only one ceiling fan in the center, no air condition yet. Be careful when you sit, the chairs are kind of slippy on the tiles :)

By that time, pasta and pizza are the only menu available  so no choice, no rice for lunch hehe. We ordered the Linguine Carbonara (P65), but the actual pasta is not linguine when served. Honestly, we were disappointed by this one. It tasted just like a plain pasta. The sauce has no taste at all, can't even taste the cream or milk.

So we tried next the Spaghetti Bolognese. It turns out its also an ordinary spaghetti, no taste to wow us. But for the price(P60) I think it's fine.

And then last is the pizza, Wada's Classic Steak Pizza, with toppings of meat, cheese and white onions. It is a thin crust. Also not a special one, and to our dismay, the crust is so toasted that when you eat it, the crusts are left behind. I think it would be better to make the dough soft to compliment for the taste. They have their Italian Pizza, but not available by that time.

We also  ordered Mocha Brownie Fudge (P35) and Chicken Strips (60)

Habibi's Restaurant

Habibi's Restaurant is located at Brgy. Ermita, Balayan Batangas. This is just a simple and plain type of restaurant. Just your typical place to eat, but what you eat here is the one that is different. Habibi is well-known for its shawarma. But in their restaurant, they serve, lamb, biryani, kebab and even ox's brain. They also have some tapsilog for breakfast maybe. Baked macaroni and spaghetti are also served. Here are some of the foods we ate :)

MUDSLIDE!! I mean it, its a large mudslide..

This is their chicken biryani. I like its simple fried rice and whats stuffed inside it :)

..of course crispy fried chicken inside!!

This one is a winner!! It is their ox's brain. It looks like a typical sisig, but it is kinda mushy, yet, its tasty

and then... the left overs :)

The Infamous Qyosko!!

As my first post for this blog, I chose one of my favorite food in Dumaguete. The ambience was nice and lots of foreigner goes to this place. It is open 24 hours from Monday-Saturday. At first, I thought the foods will be pricey, their meals are very affordable. Our friend Jassen is the one who ordered for us, since it was our first time. He ordered puchero. Wow!! It was the first time a saw a puchero that looked like this. With veggies and something like a gravy. The beef was quite large for the price. It was mouth-watering, and im excited to eat already.

Then our rice is not just an ordinary rice, they call it, Arroz balao!! It was something like a fried rice with bits of fried fish.

It was really a great combo meal. The puchero was quite sweet and the arroz balao is salty, perfect!! Really had a great brunch!! If every you went to Dumaguete, just try this. You will surely love this!

attack!!
